Pancon Tomate Okubo @ Shinjuku, Tokyo

Been walking past this Pasta House to JR Shinjuku Station for a couple of days now, always in a hurry to go places, as we are not the early bird types you know :P Anyway, one fine morning, we finally slow down our paces and look at their menu board... We really glad we did :)

Nice and cosy ambience, but wait, instrumental jazz playing in an Italian Restaurant?? Rustic signs and posters from Stateside?? Hmm...

The Chefs doing their magic...

We ordered two set meals, both come with this refreshing Japanese Salad, mmm... a great start to a new shopping day :)

Wifey's Squid Ink chewy and thick Spaghetti with Mentaiko... yum yum :P
ps: much like a true black version of a Pioneer KURO Plasma compared with a mediocre LCD so called black, but never true black... this is...

Mine is this sumptuous chewy and thick Spaghetti in Uni and Squid, topped with Ikura, It's so damn good, I'm simply speechless... sworn that this is the best Spaghetti I have tasted :)

Life could not get better than this, meanwhile tapping feet to the jazz rhythm, aw... :)

Nihon Tai-Tais really know how to pamper themselves, while their hubbies slog all day and nite heheh, nice :p

Remember that beatles song? "It's been a hard day's night, and I've been working like a dog... It's been a soufu's morning, and I've been enjoying in Pancon Tomate" :P

We'll be back for more... that's for sure :)
